Each dentist in the United Kingdom is given a unique identifying number called a GDC Number by the General Dental Council. You must register with the GDC and get your GDC Number before engaging in any type of dental practise.
You must fulfil a minimum number of "CPD" hours each year and pay the annual retention fee in order to keep your GDC number active.
The typical waiting period today is between two and six months. That mostly relies on the number of GDC caseworkers on hand and specifically which caseworker is in charge of yours because certain caseworkers can be quicker than others.
You are automatically qualified if you obtained a primary dental degree from a university within the EU/EEA where English was the language of examination.
You are still qualified if you received a primary dental degree from a university inside the EU/EEA that was taught and examined in a foreign language, however you might need to pass the IELTS Academic assessment.
On the low end, junior dentists might anticipate earning about £45,000 per year. In the UK, a dentist's annual income typically ranges from £72,000 to £170,000 for private practitioners and specialists.

You must be registered with and licenced with the General Dental Council (GDC) in order to practise dentistry in the UK.
If you’re from the European Economic Area (EEA) and have a primary qualification in dentistry, then you can register with the GDC and practice in the UK on that basis.
